As part of the regional consultation tour organized by the Government of Quebec to develop the future Plan d’Électrification et de Changements Climatiques (PECC), companies from the Quebec City area met on October 7 with Benoit Charrette, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change Control of the Government of Quebec, Marie-Ève Proulx, Minister Responsible for Regional Economic Development, and Geneviève Guilbault, Minister of Public Security of the Government of Quebec.
The participating companies discussed issues related to GHGs, waste management, and the need to use clean energy, particularly hydroelectricity.
Solugen, who welcomed this government initiative and and the interest shown by  the organizers during the meeting, presented its project twhich will enable agricultural producers to equip themselves with this technology for the treatment and recovery of residual materials (manure) and demonstrated the adequacy of this initiative with the expectations of the PECC, especially in regards  to reducing GHGs, creating economic wealth, contributing to the electrification of the regions, and the recovery of waste in the agricultural sector.
